Summer vacation season is drawing to a close, and for many families, that means the kids are back in school, fall sports and other activities are in full swing, and family dinners are either rigorously planned or “catch as catch can.”  While summer might be officially over, you can still treat yourself and your family to a “mini-vacation” – a dinner away from home – with our merchant of the month!

The Steakhouse, with locations in Edgewater and Perry Hall, offers a wide variety of meals made from the freshest ingredients available.  Open daily for lunch and dinner, both locations offer a casual family atmosphere and take pride in offering a wide variety of steak and seafood meals, as well as chicken and pork, to please any palate.

Originally called “The Original Steakhouse,” The Steakhouse has been serving up hand-cut corn-fed aged prime beef since 2003 (the name changed to separate the restaurants from the franchise last year).  Mike Weckstein, Director of Operations for both Steakhouse locations, has been in the restaurant business for 20 years.  He started out in fast food and gradually worked each position in the industry, from clerk to waiter to manager to director.  Mike knows what it takes to operate a successful establishment that keeps customers coming back over and over again.  In fact, some patrons come from Southern Maryland to dine at the Steakhouse in Edgewater, just to enjoy that melt-in-your-mouth beef!

Each Steakhouse location employs an in-house butcher who hand-cuts all steaks, and fresh seafood selections are available every day.  While waiting for the entrée of your choice, you can sample the many appetizers on the menu, such as wings (of several flavors!), nachos, Ahi tuna, shrimp in several different preparations, crab dip, potato skins, and more.  Soup and chili are also available, along with a large selection of fresh and crispy salads.  There’s also a wide variety of sandwiches and entrees (too many to mention here – check out their website below for more info), and a kids menu for the little ones.  If you’re into sports, you can enjoy your favorites on one of the 10 large-screen TVs located in the restaurant, and the Perry Hall location has a game room featuring arcade-style games and the option to win prizes.
